Planet Budapest 2021 Sustainability Expo and World Meeting was a joint event of Central Europe, and dealt with sustainability. Our company developed a web application for the entire event, which provided a hybrid and online interface for remote attendees.

The web application is complex in terms of features and content: it serves as an online conferencing platform where you can stream online, manage various events, manage your own calendar and on-site exhibitors. It can also be used as an online meeting tool where internal messaging is available too. Planet21 is a high-profile, internationally well recognised, important event, where every single detail had to be perfect. Visitors were coming from all around the globe, and a lot of people joined the exhibition remotely as well. In order to maximize visitor experience, we developed a solution that could bridge the gap between in-person and online visitors.
Problem
Due to the large number of visitors (about 10,000), it was important to provide a well-tested, stable system. Furthermore, our system also served the official mobile application developed by another company. The biggest challenge was the Covid epidemic, as the structure of the event was constantly changing, requiring a high degree of adaptability and flexibility.
Solution
We selected highly qualified colleagues for each area of the development process, so high-quality work was guaranteed. In terms of the prestige and importance of the exhibition, security solutions played a prominent role. For example, we provided 0-24 support to keep the application running smoothly. We are proud of our smooth and effective cooperation with the client, which greatly contributed to the great results.
